A few interesting facts about Starbucks that I read in this Fortune Magazine article:
"Last week 20 million people bought a cup of coffee at a Starbucks. "
"A typical customer stops by 18 times a month. "
"Proof of icon status: Playboy magazine is currently working on a Women of Starbucks issue."
Ok, so we all know that there are Starbucks stores just about _everywhere_ (in the US, at least), and many of us have heard Lewis Black go *off* about the end of the universe being somewhere (in Texas? I forget) where there is a Starbucks across the street from a Starbucks...but I found these stats (especially the top two) staggering. 18 times???? 18 times? at a 3 dollar average purchase (my assumption), that's $54.00 a month in coffee!
Anyway, I don't have any particular reason for sharing this trivial info with you - I just found it interesting, thought you might too. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take a call from the "Women of Coca-Cola" calendar organizer.
